Age (of persons and householders)

Definition

Age of an individual in years. For data on this site that refers to persons, "age" refers to the age of each person. For data in which the universe is households, "age" refers to the age of the householder.

Where to Find Data on this Site

  1. The Household Demographic Data tool allows the user to create counts of households cross-tabulating age of householder with one or more of the following: cost burden, household income as a percentage of area median income, household size in persons, and tenure.
  2. The Population Projections tool provides projections of the number of persons by age through 2025.
  3. The Special Needs Household Characteristics: General Housing and Demographic Characteristics tool allows the user to create counts of households cross-tabulating age of householder with one or more of the following indicators: presence of a person with a disability age 15 or older, tenure, household size, household income as a percentage of area median income, and cost burden.
  4. The Special Needs Household Characteristics: Individuals' Age & Relationship to Householder tool allows the user to create counts of individuals age 15 or older cross-tabulating age of persons with one or more of the following indicators: disability, household income as a percentage of area median income and relationship to head of household.
  5. The Affordable Housing Needs area of the Profiles includes a table for Percentage of Income Spent on Housing by Age of Householder.
  6. The 2010 Rental Market Study provides extensive data and estimates for 2010-2013 on Florida's renter households divided into three householder age categories: age 15-61, 62-74 and 75 and older.
